After a less-than-comfortable struggle to secure their position last year, Apollon continues under the guidance of Nikos Vetoula, albeit with a somewhat different approach to building their roster. Several Greek players, including Muratos, Saloustros, Skordilis, Philippakos, and Giuzelis, have joined the Patras squad. Additionally, some of the foreign players, such as Starks and Osborne, come with prior experience in Greece. Coach Vetoulas expressed, "Karditsa is a team that has faced challenges due to well-known events, which is unfortunate. The world is closely connected to Apollon, supporting us through tough times and helping us take the next step," as they approach their season opener. In their most recent friendly match on September 26th, Apollon secured a convincing 82-65 victory against Korivos, indicating they are ready to field a strong lineup.

Apollon has bolstered its roster with experienced Greek players and is set to make a significant impact this season, especially when playing at home. Historically, Apollon has demonstrated an ability to win such games, while Karditsa has recently faced challenges in maintaining their basketball form.
