Atp 250 Monaco di Bavaria - Day 2
Fritz T. Moro Canas A.
Despite Fritz not being a player accustomed to these surfaces, there's not much difference with his opponent who capitalized on Thiem's numerous errors yesterday to advance. Moro Canas is a classic challenger player, doesn't offer many variations to the ball, and lets the opponent dictate play, which suits Fritz's style. He'll try to exploit this situation to close the match quickly.
Michelsen A. Garin C.
Here we have two players with very similar playing styles who like to play aggressively, both tall and possessing a good serve. However, despite his height, Garin moves very well, which gives him a significant advantage. Nevertheless, I believe it could be a good, fought match, especially in the first set where we might see a tie-break.
Molleker R. Draper J.
Here again we have two tall players who like to push whenever they have the opportunity and are very good at alternating powerful shots with variations that unsettle the opponent. Despite the 100-position gap in the rankings, I believe Molleker could create some problems for Draper due to his surface knowledge and Draper's ongoing physical issues, which have caused him to miss some crucial tournaments and lose confidence.
Auger-Aliassime F. Daniel T.
Auger has won a very challenging match, and I'll start by saying that he's definitely not the player he was last year. However, usually when you win a match in this manner, you find positive sensations that help you build momentum. Daniel, on the other hand, won comfortably, surely against an opponent not entirely experienced on the surface but who always creates difficulties. I think Auger could win, perhaps extending a set to a tie-break.
Hanfmann Y. Huesler A.
Both players are surface experts who, when they found some continuity in the previous match, showed they can be lethal, thanks to the alternation of high/short balls and very strong and deep forehands. Given their enormous skill at serving, I believe at least one set could reach a tie-break, and overall, this match could end in favor of the German.
