Ronald Acuña Jr. isn't the sole Braves member under consideration for the National League MVP Award. First baseman Matt Olson is in the midst of a remarkable season, leading the Major Leagues in both home runs (43) and RBIs (107), and trailing only Shohei Ohtani in slugging percentage (.621).

Olson's impact was keenly felt in a 7-6 loss to the Mets on Sunday night at Citi Field. While Atlanta was trailing 7-4 in the eighth inning, Olson injected a jolt of excitement by connecting with a 2-1 pitch from Brooks Raley, sending it soaring for a two-run homer that narrowed the gap to just one run.

Following this home run, the Braves had every reason to believe they were on the brink of clinching victory in the series finale. After all, they had dominated the Mets in the first three games of the series, outscoring New York by a staggering margin of 34-3.

However, New York reliever Adam Ottavino secured his seventh save of the season with an immaculate 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Atlanta is now gearing up to face another New York-based team in the first game of their upcoming series.
