Detroit Lions – Las Vegas Raiders
USA - NFL

The hype surrounding the Detroit Lions completely fizzled out last Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens humiliated them with a 38:6 defeat. Just two weeks ago, the Lions were being talked about as one of the best NFL teams, and that was well-deserved. Their offense is truly impressive and can threaten opposing defenses in various ways, and their defense was functioning more than adequately. However, against the Ravens, they got off to a slow start, quickly fell into a significant deficit, and from then on, the game took a completely different turn. Head coach Dan Campbell has announced that his team will bounce back, and there's no reason to doubt his words, especially after seeing what the Lions are capable of in the past month, particularly when playing at home.
The Las Vegas Raiders are in complete disarray. Perhaps no team in the NFL is in a worse situation at the moment. There's a toxic atmosphere between head coach Josh McDaniels and the players, and fans are calling for the former offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots to be fired. Last weekend, they managed to lose by 30:12 to the Chicago Bears, who are one of the weakest teams in the league. It's true that Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t play, but neither did the Bears have their starting quarterback, and still, they scored 30 points. The Raiders have exceptional playmakers like wide receiver Davante Adams and running back Josh Jacobs, but none of them are being used effectively.
This is a game in which the Las Vegas Raiders would need a miracle to avoid a heavy defeat. The Detroit Lions are hungry for redemption after what happened to them in Baltimore, and there is no better victim than the dysfunctional Raiders. It has seemed that the Lions' offense can score points whenever they want in their matchups against the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers, and it will probably be the case this time as well. Max Crosby is indeed one of the best defensive players in the league, but even he can't compensate for all the other deficiencies in the Raiders' defense.
