Fnatic – BDS
LoL - LEC Season Finals
I believe Fnatic will emerge victorious in this match, propelling them to the Lower Bracket Final, and here's my reasoning:
Recently, I've found immense satisfaction in observing Fnatic's gameplay and their draft strategies. The team seems to have an astute grasp of the prevailing meta and adjusts seamlessly to its nuances. Their employment of innovative concepts, such as resurrecting the long-forgotten Kalista, has particularly captured my attention. Furthermore, I'm appreciative of the way Noah navigates his hero pool. He appears to possess answers for every hero, exhibiting remarkable lane control and the ability to single-handedly secure victories.
Another aspect of Fnatic's current performance that impresses me is their psychological approach. Firstly, they exhibit fearlessness in their gameplay. Frequently, they embrace risks and make audacious, sometimes unpredictable, decisions that remarkably yield success. This audacity not only injects excitement into their matches but also yields tangible results. Secondly, their tenacity is commendable. A case in point is their recent match against Excel, during which they found themselves trailing at 1:2 in a pivotal contest. Often, such situations erode a team's morale, leading to surrender. However, Fnatic demonstrated resilience, orchestrating an impressive reversal to capture two consecutive maps with confidence. A resounding victory in the fourth map and the audacious yet brilliant employment of Taliyah in the fifth secured their triumph in the series. Encounters of this nature bolster the team's psyche and cultivate a vital sense of confidence, particularly in this crucial phase where securing a spot at Worlds hangs in the balance.
Regarding BDS, while they presently exhibit commendable gameplay, I'm of the opinion that it might fall short for their progression. Granted, they secured a 3:0 victory over SK, but it's worth acknowledging that SK were in a weakened state. Subsequently, they faced G2, against whom their performance remained lackluster, managing to secure only one map out of six. Their clash with Heretics also resulted in a 0:2 defeat. While grappling with G2's dominance is somewhat understandable, the loss against Heretics raises questions about BDS's readiness and worthiness for a World Championship berth. Instances of critical errors further raise eyebrows, prompting thoughts like, "Why did they make such a glaring mistake?" I don't mean to diminish BDS's achievements, but they do not appear to possess the readiness required to vie for a World Championship slot.
Additionally, when we examine their head-to-head encounters, Fnatic has consistently emerged triumphant, holding a convincing 5:2 record in their favor. While these encounters were limited to best-of-one series, the pattern is undeniable.
Considering all these factors, my assessment aligns with the notion that Fnatic presently deserves to progress further. While I concede that BDS might put up a fight, given the high stakes at play, it's doubtful whether their efforts will suffice for victory.
