Italy – SuperLega, Round 6
MODENA-LUBE 19/11/23 - 16:00 CET
A challenging match in which Modena hosts the team from the Marche region in a game full of excitement. Fifth in the standings against sixth, two direct competitors in the group, and two teams with a history and reputation as front-runners. This year, Modena has undergone changes compared to the previous season, and the team chemistry is still in the process of being established, as evidenced by the various missteps made so far. Lube is favored in our view, with a more experienced roster and better form. However, Modena has the home-field advantage and the opportunity to send a signal in one of those matches that feel like big showdowns. For us, it will be a long match with many changes of possession.
PERUGIA-PIACENZA 19/11/23 - 17:30 CET
Perugia-Piacenza is the highlight match of the day. Two strong teams with great ambitions in this championship will provide a taste of what could likely be a face-off in the title race. Currently, Perugia, along with Trento, holds the top spot in the championship, closely followed by Piacenza just one point behind. Needless to say, the match will be intense, fully to be played, and often on a knife's edge. Nevertheless, our analysis leads us to recommend Perugia's victory at home against a Piacenza team still patching up and accustomed to playing matches with such significant weight as the one against Piacenza.
CISTERNA-TARANTO 19/11/23 - 18:00 CET
Taranto enters the match with 0 victories in 6 games, 0 points, and only 6 sets won in a dark start to the season for Taranto. In our opinion, Cisterna, just outside the relegation zone, will do everything to secure the 3 points in a match that the home team knows they must win. Cisterna is the favorite for the day.
CATANIA-MILANO 19/11/23 - 18:00 CET
Catania-Milano is a clash in the relegation zone. Tenth and eleventh positions in the standings for the two teams. In our opinion, Milano is significantly superior to the Sicilians, both in terms of roster, history, corporate structure, and ambitions in this championship. Their start has not been brilliant, but they have shown good volleyball and a growing level in every game played, with an unlucky schedule, to say the least. Therefore, we feel inclined to take the risk and recommend the away team as the winner.
TRENTO-MONZA 19/11/23 - 18:00 CET
To conclude the sixth day of the Superlega, the second big match on Sunday. 13 points for Trento, 12 for the Milanese. Monza is undoubtedly the surprise of the early Superlega, demonstrating that they play at a high level with organized and collective volleyball. However, in our view, Michieletto and his teammates are superior, and in their fortress, they will do everything to secure what is currently an unexpected direct clash for the first place.
