Modena - Piacenza
Italy - Serie A1, Playoffs, Quarterfinal
On Saturday, the playoffs of the Superlega will take place, and the match we will analyze will see Bruninho and Ngapeth's team hosting the current holders of the Italian Cup, the Piacenza team led by Captain Brizard.
The game will be of a high technical level, but currently what I see as the favorite is Modena, coached by Giani, who at home is a true Achilles' heel for almost all Superlega teams. Modena is a team that is able to express a great game at home, unlike Piacenza, which is a very inconsistent team capable of winning the Italian Cup by beating teams like Perugia, but also of losing away from home even to clubs like Knack Roaselare, which is definitely of a lower technical level than Coach Botti's team, but despite this, they managed to pass the Cev Cup round by beating Piacenza, qualifying for the final.
I don't think that Piacenza's inconsistency and current strength at home could scratch a Modena team that is growing, demonstrating its strength not only in the Superlega but also in the Cev Cup, for which they obtained a pass to the final against the Belgians of Knack Roaselare.
