The New York Giants ended their four-game losing streak last week by defeating the Washington Commanders 14:7 in a rather uneventful game. The Giants will play their third consecutive game without their starting quarterback, Daniel Jones, who is dealing with a neck injury. This might not concern fans too much, as Jones had been playing poorly before his injury, and it seems that his backup, Tyrod Taylor, has done a better job. The Giants are only scoring 12.1 points per game, and part of the reason is possibly their offensive line, which is one of the worst in the league. Establishing a running game is challenging, and Taylor isn't a quarterback who can consistently make long passes down the field. While the defense has improved in recent weeks, it hasn't made a significant difference yet.

The New York Jets have been waiting for a playoff appearance for 13 years. The trade for Aaron Rodgers created immense excitement, but unfortunately, one of the greatest quarterbacks of this era was injured with a torn Achilles tendon in the first game of the season. After losses to the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots, it seemed like the Jets' season was heading for disaster. However, a strong second half in their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs changed the trajectory. Zach Wilson began to feel more comfortable, and the defense consistently performed at a high level. The Jets have one of the top five defensive units in the NFL, and they are the driving force behind this team. The win in Denver hinted at good things to come, and a significant win over the Philadelphia Eagles confirmed that the Jets can still dream of making the playoffs, even without Rodgers.

The Jets have an elite defense, and facing the weak offensive line of the Giants, they should have a significant advantage. The Giants' offense has struggled throughout the season, even against weaker defenses, and it will be a big surprise if they manage to make an impact in this game, especially without Jones. The only question in this game is whether Wilson can play without making mistakes. He has thrown only one interception in the last four games, which is a positive sign. The Jets will heavily rely on their running game on offense and exploit running back Breece Hall, who is in great form. This game is expected to be a low-scoring affair, and in such matchups, one pick-six can make a difference. If Wilson avoids making such mistakes, the Jets should easily win this game.
