Niki Volou - Panserraikos
Greece - Super League 2, Group A, Round 29
Having struggled to find the back of the net for a considerable period of time, Niki Volou is determined to end the season on a positive note and secure a respectable third place in the standings. In their match against promoted team Iraklis, Niki Volou managed to secure a point with a 1-1 draw at "Kautanzoglio" stadium, delivering another solid performance.
Niki Volou had their first promising chance in the sixth minute with Tziora and followed it up with another opportunity in the 17th minute through Gavrielidis. Bayic, the goalkeeper, made important saves in the 28th minute and just before halftime, Niki Volou came close to scoring with an effort from a player from Crete. They finally broke the deadlock in the 66th minute with a header from Giora, but missed a great opportunity with Miranda six minutes later. Unfortunately, during the course of the game, they conceded the equalizing goal. The score remained unchanged until the end of the match.
Next, Niki Volou will face Panserraikos at home and will be hosted by Panathinaikos B in the final game of the season.
In terms of match news, Dimitris Eleftheropoulos has maintained the same mission and approach as the previous game. Burganis, Dimitriou, Delizisis, and Rohanos, who have not been part of the experienced coach's plans for a while, were once again left out of the squad.
Panserraikos, on the other hand, will complete their competitive obligations without any motivation to score, and they are expected to make several changes in the starting lineup. Niki Volou is determined to overcome the challenges they are facing and secure the third place finish for the sake of their reputation and prestige.
