OF Ierapetras - Episkopi

Greece - Super League 2, Group B, round 27

In a highly dynamic game accompanied by incidents between players from both teams, Ierapetra managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Chania in an away match, showcasing their passion and intensity driven by prestige rather than points. These two teams have a long-standing rivalry, and Ierapetra fought tooth and nail to avoid defeat. They made an early threat in the third minute with Muller, and Tzelepis made two crucial interventions (in the 7th and 36th minutes). However, from the 39th minute, they had to play with one player less due to Stamos' suspension. Nevertheless, in stoppage time, they took the lead with a goal from Muller. Chania equalized early in the second half, but Ierapetra remained composed. They managed to avoid defeat in the additional time, showcasing resilience. To avoid further penalties, the club recently appointed coach Stefanos Xirofotos, a UEFA Pro diploma holder and former NPS Volos coach, alongside the continued guidance of Vangelis Galanis. Currently, Ierapetra has been deducted three points, and it is expected that two additional "-3" deductions will be activated within the week.

Match news: Stamou, who was sent off in the match against Chania, and the injured Miliotis, who has filed an appeal, are not available for selection. It is worth noting that legal action has already been taken against Kyritsis, Itsios, and Karagiannis, who have left the team. Miller is serving the first of his two-game suspension (due to accumulated yellow cards).

Ierapetra is considered the favorite to win the match and aim for a high-scoring result. Episkopi, their opponent, has shown signs of fatigue and a lack of motivation, which gives Ierapetra an opportunity to dominate the match and score multiple goals.
