The Perugia army challenges Piacenza

As everyone well knows, Perugia is the favorite to win the championship this year. An above-average team that manages to have 13 players in the same team who could play as starters and make a difference in any Super League team. The enormous flexibility of the team, the great attacking, serving and blocking abilities highlight the fact that Perugia is currently the most performing team. Although Piacenza is not to be underestimated, unfortunately due to injuries and poor relations with the now former coach Bernardi, they have never been consistent in their matches, despite standout elements such as middle blocker Simon, setter Brizard and world champion opposite Romanò.

However, things could change for Piacenza as the injuries of Leal and Brazilian Lucarelli seem to be coming to an end. Leal returned against Taranto in the last match, winning the match with a sumptuous 50% attack, after two consecutive losses, one of which was against Siena, a team that is low in the standings.

And finally, the contribution of Lucarelli is possible as he resumed training with the team on January 27th.

In this match, I expect a winning Perugia but a fought match where Piacenza, with Leal and perhaps Lucarelli, manages to win at least one set.
