Zehjiang professional - Meizhou hakka
China - Chinese Super League, Round 13
Zhejiang Analysis: Zhejiang seems to be gradually improving after a disastrous start to the season. They have managed to string together an unbeaten run of five matches in the league (3 wins, 2 draws), narrowing the gap to the top three teams to some extent. However, it is evident that they need more consistency. In their most recent match on June 9th, they settled for a 2-2 draw against Henan at home, paying the price for their lack of sustained performance. They took the lead in the 41st minute with an impressive strike from Ivorian player Kouassi, and forward Gao Di seemed to lay a solid foundation with a goal from inside the box shortly after. However, they relaxed and allowed Henan to score in the 56th minute, and eventually conceded an equalizing penalty in the 68th minute. In the 79th minute, they were reduced to 10 men but defended well to secure the draw. In the cup competition, they fielded a strong lineup and comfortably defeated B-division team Sichuan 4-1 away from home.
Regarding the upcoming match, Spanish coach Jordi stated, "Meizu may not be in their best form, but we anticipate a challenging game." Key defender Dong Yu will be unavailable due to suspension, while former national team goalkeeper Gu Chao remains sidelined due to his involvement in match-fixing.
The atmosphere in Meizu is currently unfavorable, and we don't anticipate significant changes during the break. Zhejiang is gradually regaining the stability that earned them a third-place finish last year.
